Stadtentwicklung, Zivilgesellschaft und bürgerschaftliches Engagement – ein Forschungs- und Publikationsprojekt
Ein Projekt im Rahmen der Nationalen Stadtentwicklungspolitik


Was verstehen Stadtplaner und -entwickler eigentlich unter der stärkeren Einbindung der Zivilgesellschaft in Planungsprozesse, wie sie von vielen Seiten gefordert wird? Welche Rolle soll die Zivilgesellschaft dabei spielen und welche Rolle schreiben sich die Bürger selbst zu?

Das Projekt „Stadtentwicklung, Zivilgesellschaft und bürgerschaftliches Engagement“, das von Januar bis September 2009 läuft, soll einen Einblick in das häufig unklare Verhältnis von Stadtentwicklung und Zivilgesellschaft geben. Im Vordergrund des Projekts steht die Sensibilisierung für die unterschiedlichen Sichtweisen der Akteure beider Bereiche. Die Schnittmengen zwischen planerischer Beteiligung (top-down) einerseits und selbstermächtigtem Engagement der Zivilgesellschaft (bottom-up) andererseits sollen in diesem Projekt ausgelotet werden.

Das Projekt wird vom Maecenata Institut für Philanthropie und Zivilgesellschaft in Kooperation mit dem Fachgebiet Planungstheorie am Institut für Stadt- und Regionalplanung der TU Berlin durchgeführt und im Rahmen des Programms „Nationale Stadtentwicklungspolitik“ vom Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Bau und Stadtentwicklung (BMVBS), vertreten durch das Bundesamt für Bauwesen und Raumordnung (BBR), gefördert.
